For the test to be successful, the stool must not be in contact with a liquid (urine, bleach, etc.).
1. Place the toilet paper in the toilet bowl. In case of stool catcher use, please follow the instructions stated on it.
2. Collect your faeces directly onto the toilet paper, avoiding to touch water or urine. It easier if done sitting the opposite way around. After that proceed from step 3.
3. While holding the tube upright, unscrew the green cap with the collection stick. Don’t shake the tube upside down.
4. Stick the green collector stick into the sample, not too deep, at four different points, scraping the surface in a crosswise motion. Only the grooves of the stick must be covered with feces. Ensure all the indentations are filled with stool. This is exactly the right amount. Do not collect stool in excess.
5. Reinsert the green cap and screw on tightly. Do not reopen. Gently shake the tube turning upside down (invert gently a few times). You must NOT open it again.
6. Check that you have correctly filled out, dated and stuck the label on the tube. Then slide the tube into the protective bag (small plastic bag).
7. Slip the protective bag containing the tube, the dated and completed identification form into the return envelope (Paper envelope with address). Close the envelope.
8. The return envelope must be posted no later than 24 hours after the test is taken (never on Friday or the day before a public holiday).
